Rachel Workstel will graduate in May with a dual Public Relations and Sociology degree. She has held internships and jobs in many positions ranging from entertainment public relations to political engagement to department management. Alongside serving as one of the president's of Syracuse University's chapter of PRSSA, Rachel holds positions as a freelance social media writer and manager, a social media creator and strategist for The Marrone Law Firm of East Syracuse, and a canvasser for Colleen Deacon's campaign. After serving as Co-Director of Development and leading Yum-Yum's Gluten Free Bakery and Campaign through an impressively successful campaign, she is excited to serve SU PRSSA in her final year as Co-President with Emily Fesnak.

A senior Public Relations and Information Management Technology dual-major, Emily hopes to pursue a career that combines her two passions. She has interned as a technology sales intern at IBM and as a communications marketing intern at Syracuse University's Whitman School of Business. However, she has also been exposed to the start-up culture when she interned as a web developer for a small digital marketing agency in London.
Emily is excited to take on her new role as Co-President of PRSSA and is certain that this year's executive board and general body will bring this impressive chapter to a new level.
In her free time, Emily loves to swim with the Syracuse club swim team, run outside, or read a good book.

Margaret Bridge is the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for managing the chapter’s budget and finances. She most recently interned with NBC Olympics in Stamford, Connecticut as a Social Media Intern. She has also interned with Hunter Public Relations in the Entertainment and Sports Marketing department and with the Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network as a Public Relations Intern. Additionally, she was previously an Internal Communications Intern at PPL Susquehanna, LLC in her hometown of Berwick, Pennsylvania. She joined PRSSA her freshman year, and is also an active member of Kappa Tau Alpha Honors Fraternity for Journalism and Mass Communications.
Margaret is pursuing a major in Public Relations and minors in Finance and Psychology, as well as a specialization in Financial and Investor Communications.

Maria, 21, is a junior at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where she’s a public relations major with a minor LGBT studies.
In the past, Maria has interned with Tribal Social Media and currently works as an Account Manager for local, national, and regional clients. Previously, Maria interned in Dallas, Texas at The Power Group and continues to work as a contracted graphic designer. This past summer, Maria worked at M Booth & Associate in NYC on the Lifestyle and Spirits team. Maria has been part of PRSSA since her freshman year where she served as a member of the Special Events Committee, which she then held the Special Events Director position during her sophomore year. She enjoys the fast-pace nature of the communications industry and loves integrating her design and branding skills into her public relations work. Maria has also served Hill Communication’s, working with on BE Wise, IVMF, and internal accounts. In addition to PR, Maria was formally the Co-Director of OrangeSeeds, the Publisher of Jerk Magazine, and is currently member of the Student Philanthropy Council. She is also a Career Development Specialist at the Newhouse Career Development Center.
When Maria isn’t working, she enjoys spending her time cooking, enjoying music, makeup, and crafting cocktails for her friends.

As Co-Vice President of Programming, Jake Engle is responsible for securing guest speakers for the organization and handling the logistics of the events alongside Alexis. He will also help oversee the Programming Committee. Jake is a junior studying Public Relations and Political Science. He joined PRSSA last fall and participated in the EDGE Program before becoming the Account Executive of Campus Outreach for the Program’s campaign to increase voter registration in the spring. He is also a member of the pre-law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta, and he served as the Communications Director during the 2015-2016 school year. Most recently, Jake interned for a gubernatorial campaign in New Hampshire during the 2016 election cycle.
In his free time, Jake watches a lot of CNN and reads about his favorite politicians.

Alexis is a junior at the Newhouse School of Public Communications. She is a Co-Vice President of Programming for PRSSA with a major in Public Relations and minors in both Policy Studies, and Marketing. She worked as a PR Intern at Colleen Deacon’s office for her campaign for Congress.

Raven Berzal is the co-director of SOAR, a workshop-based program intended to prepare upperclassmen PR students for their careers after graduation. Raven is a senior enrolled in the Public Relations program with a minor in Music Industry. She has the most experience in entertainment PR and most recently interned at Live Nation Entertainment in New York City this summer. Other than PRSSA, Raven is heavily involved with Hill Communications and University Union, and currently serves as Director of Marketing for 20 Watts Magazine. Upon graduation this May, she will attend law school in Los Angeles, California, focusing her studies on entertainment law. Alongside co-director Leah Strassburg, Raven is extremely excited to re-invent the SOAR program into an exceedingly useful tool for PR students about to enter the job field.

Leah Strassburg, a senior public relations and policy studies dual major, is codirector of the PRSSA Upper Level Development Program, SOAR. She attended the National Conference for PRSSA in Washington, D.C. her sophomore year and has been featured on the national blog, Progressions.
Leah has been involved in Hill Communications, Jerk Magazine and the SU social media team, #44Social, throughout college. Last summer, she was a digital health intern at W2O in Boston. Before that, she interned with the PR department at Dixon Schwabl Advertising. She enjoys getting overly excited about PRSSA and life in general.

Linda Bamba, is Co-Director of EDGE! She from San Diego, CA and a junior with a dual major in economics and public relations. She is the public relation specialist for the Daily Orange, the student ran newspaper of Syracuse. She dreamed to be apart of PRSSA since she was 13 years old and she loves every minute of it.

Lauren Collins, our Co-Director of Development for the EDGE Program, is a senior PR major with a minor in English Textual Studies. After graduating from EDGE as a sophomore, Lauren has continued to stay involved by working as an assistant director for EDGE last spring. She is very excited to take on this higher level position in the program. Lauren is also a member of the Fashion and Beauty Communications Milestone program, and interned over the summer at a fashion and beauty PR firm in downtown Manhattan.

Melissa Lane is a Sophomore at the S.I School of Public Communications majoring in Public Relations. She is Vice President of Communications for the Public Relations Student Society of America at Syracuse University. She is responsible for managing various forms of social media. She also works to promote speakers and PRSSA-related events. She will manage the Communications Committee comprised of university members looking to get involved in publishing blogs to the Syracuse Chapter's website. Melissa has extensive social media and website experience through academic courses and various club positions.
Melissa is also an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta Women’s Fraternity on campus, and a member of the Alumni Relations Committee for Syracuse's Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon, OttoTHON.

Caitlin Kearns is the Director of Events and is responsible for planning all events pertaining to the members of the Syracuse chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. This past summer, she worked for a nonprofit organization as their Communications Intern, handling everything from social media to event planning. She also spent a week interning at the National Democratic Convention, where she worked as a Press Assistant. Caitlin started her work in PRSSA as an Account Executive within the Edge program for Yum-Yums Gluten Free Bakery.
Caitlin is pursuing a major in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, reading, and instagramming her food.
